If you want to rstore you can just cross them with say a symbol such as $ and whenever you're going back with your TM (moving left) say you see a $ you know it used to be a b so you just turn it into a b: $->b,L any other symbol will do, you might just do it with a b and a dot on it's top, just like we did in the multi-tape equivalence theorem.

bullet number 4 of the algorithm says to restore the b's, how can we do that? can we save the number of b's in the begining?…
